Disposable vapes are the simplest way to vape: no refilling, no coils to change, and no settings to learn. But the labels can be confusing, and the rules in Texas changed in 2025. This guide explains what the numbers on the box mean, how Texas law affects what we can sell, and which brands you will find at Puff Love.

What is a disposable vape?

A disposable vape is a small, ready-to-use device that comes pre-filled with e-liquid and pre-charged. You inhale to use it, and there is usually no button. Many newer models are rechargeable through a USB-C port, so the battery can last until the e-liquid runs out. Some, like pod-style kits, let you swap in a new pre-filled pod instead of buying a whole new device.

Common features you will see on the box include:

  • Screens that show battery and e-liquid levels.
  • Power modes, such as a normal mode and a stronger "boost" or "turbo" mode.
  • Adjustable airflow, so you can choose a tighter or looser draw.
  • Hookah-style designs, such as e-hoses and electronic hookah heads.

Texas SB 2024: what changed

Texas Senate Bill 2024 took effect on September 1, 2025. It limits which vape products stores are allowed to sell in Texas, including rules about where a product and its parts are made and how it is packaged and marketed. Products that do not meet the law came off our shelves. Many boxes now say "SB2024" on the label, and our Texas-compliant disposable vapes collection only lists products we carry under the current rules.

Separately, Texas has banned vapes that contain cannabinoids (such as THC or Delta-8) since September 1, 2025. The disposables we sell are nicotine or zero-nicotine e-liquid vapes only.

How puff counts work

The big number on the box, like 25K or 50,000 puffs, is the manufacturer's estimate of how many puffs the device can deliver. It is a rough guide, not a promise. The real number depends on:

  • How long each puff is. Long, slow draws use more e-liquid than short ones.
  • The power mode. Boost or turbo modes use e-liquid faster.
  • Airflow settings. A tighter or looser draw changes how much liquid each puff uses.
  • Charging habits. On rechargeable models, the e-liquid usually runs out before the battery does, so keeping it charged lets you finish the tank.

A higher puff count usually means a bigger tank and a larger device. If you want something small for your pocket, a lower puff count may suit you better.

How nicotine strength works

Disposable vapes usually show nicotine as a percentage. The percentage tells you how much nicotine is in each milliliter of e-liquid:

  • 5% is about 50 mg of nicotine per milliliter.
  • 3% is about 30 mg per milliliter.
  • 2% is about 20 mg per milliliter.
  • 0% or "zero nic" has no nicotine, only flavor.

Most disposables use nicotine salts, which allow higher nicotine levels in a small, low-power device. Several brands we carry come in more than one strength, and some offer zero-nicotine versions. Nicotine is an addictive chemical. If you are not sure which strength to pick, ask our team to show you the options side by side.
